IL Fondamento  (Founded 1989 Belgium)

In 1989 a meeting of musician friends, all of whom enjoyed playing early music on period instruments, led to the foundation of the baroque orchestra Il Fondamento. Il Fondamento performs the musically important, but as less well-known, repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries repertoire.

The musicians strive above all to respect the original style and to produce music that is pleasing to the ear. In barely six years Il Fondamento has built up an international reputation. Besides the CD and radio recordings that have met with unanimous approval, Il Fondamento has been invited to play at important festivals at home and abroad.

Saturday, January 5 was the final in CC 't Vondel in Halle Emperors of Decay winner chosen from Senne Tour 2012-2013. The bond that a mix of metal and hard rock playing, has roots in Lenniks and Leuven.
